Three companies applied - American Mensa on behalf on Mensa international Ltd (who own Mensa.org) but due to a technicality they failed. The winner was one of the other UK trademark holders for Mensa : Tripart Farm Chemicals Ltd. (See here )

Mensa International Ltd reapplied straight away but were deemed too late. D'oh!
